In a celebration of art, activism, and global solidarity, the University of Nairobi proudly hosted the unveiling of the “17 Faces of Action: Kenya” exhibition on February 20, 2024. This groundbreaking event marked Kenya’s entry as the seventh country to participate in the project. The opening took place in the distinguished presence of Her Excellency Ms. Tatiana Valovaya, the Director-General of UNOG, Her Excellency Ms. Zainab Hawa Bangura, Director-General of UNON,  and Mr. Stephen Jackson Resident Coordinator in Kenya.

At the heart of the exhibition were 17 photographs, each capturing the essence and spirit of a remarkable woman dedicated to championing one of the SDGs. From poverty eradication to environmental conservation, from gender equality to quality education, these women served as powerful ambassadors for change, embodying the principles and aspirations of the global sustainable development agenda.
