An expert in agricultural biotechnology, she has published about 200 scientific articles over 20 years of scientific activity.

Irina Matvienko

Founder and CEO of NeMolchi.uz (Don't be silent, Uzbekistan). Irina launched the first non-profit media platform to combat gender-based violence and violence against women and girls in 2017. Irina is one of 14 human rights defenders selected worldwide for exemplary work under the Sakharov Scholarship in 2019 to participate in the Venice School of Human Rights.

A versatile individual: eco-blogger, activist, feminist, and devoted young mother. Known for her short film "The Water" and advocacy for landscape design workers.
