ART PROJECT 17 FACES OF ACTION

With the art project “17 Faces of Action”, supported by local partners as well as governments from all around the world, our Association has already travelled dozens of thousands of kilometers across Europe, Asia, and Africa, collaborating with esteemed museums, libraries and art centers in order to artistically represent 17 Sustainable Development Goals. So far, “17 Faces of Action” has been realised in 8 countries and was remarkably represented at COP28 UAE in partnership with the General Women’s Union and Biennale of Venice 2024 in partnership with Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA Public Association.

WOMEN

The project consists in photographing 17 women in 17 countries - member states of the United Nations.

SDGs

Each woman represents one of the Sustainable Goals based on her professional and social achievements.

So far, the project has been represented in 8 countries.

Mongolia

The Mongolian chapter of the project opened on August 22nd, 2024 at the Chinggis Khan National Museum in Ulaanbaatar. The exhibition was organized on the sidelines of the World Women’s Forum.

El Salvador

The exhibition “17 Faces of Action: El Salvador” opened at Palacio Tecleño de la Cultura y las Artes in Santa Tecla on May 30, 2024. El Salvador became the first country in the Americas to participate in the project.

Kenya

The Kenyan Chapter of 17 Faces of Action opened in Nairobi on February 20, 2024.

United Arab Emirates

The UAE became the first Arab country to participate in the project. The exhibition took place in December 2023 in the Green Zone of COP28.

Vietnam

The Vietnamese chapter of the 17 Faces of Action opened at the Vietnamese Women’s Museum in Hanoi on October 20, 2023. 

Georgia

Georgia is the fourth country to take part in the project 17 Faces of Action. The exhibition opening took place at the National Parliament Library of Georgia in Tbilisi on July 2, 2023.

Portugal

The Portuguese chapter of 17 Faces of Action opened in June 2023 at the Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal in Lisbon in presence of the Director-General of the United Nations of Geneva and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, Mr. Joao Gomes Cravinho.

Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan became the second country in the world where the project 17 Faces of Action found its practical implementation. The exhibition was held in October 2022 in Tashkent.

Azerbaijan

The first country to have participated and held an exhibition as part of the project 17 FACES OF ACTION is Azerbaijan. The exhibition was held in September 2022 in Baku at the Heydar Aliyev Foundation
