She established the Duc Nong Cooperative which produces local agricultural goods and employs local women workers, creating sustainable jobs and incomes for them. She was awarded First Prize at the 2022 Provincial Women Entrepreneurship Contest, and among those formally recognized as "National Role Model" for the year 2023.

Thái Hương

Viet Nam Hero of Labour, is the first and only Vietnamese representative in Asia's Top Sustainability Superwomen 2021 List of Honour by CSR Works. Her proiects consistently follow GRI standards with 6 pillars of nutrition-health, environment, people, education, community, and animal welfare.

Tran Thi Giang Hương

Associate Professor, she spent more than 30 years serving in the health sector of Vietnam, including 11 years as Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Health making significant contributions to the accomplishment of health-related MDGs and SDGs in the country.

Ha Ahn Phuong

As a teacher of foreign languague at Huong Can High School, she created the model of "borderless classroom" to connect students of ethnic minorities in her school with their international friends. She was granted the "Vietnam Outstanding Young Faces Award" in 2020, and recognized as one of the top 10 finalists of Global Teacher Prize .

Hà Lê Diem

Her film Children of the Mist won Best Director at the International Documentary Film Festival Award (IDFA) in November 2021. She also participated in development and training programs for women and girls from ethnic minority. She was awarded the Perception Change Project prize by the United Nations Office at Geneva.

CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION

Nguyen Thi Hau

Dr. Nguyen Thi Hau is the Head Researcher of the Environmental Techniques Laboratory, Da Lat University. She invented the emergency FO filter to process flood water and provide clean water during floods or droughts. She was awarded the 2017 Women Innovators Award, 2019 Women and Future of Green Economy, among others.

AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY

Ho Thi Thanh Van

Ranked among 100 Asian scientists, she is currently an expert advisor at the Institute of High-Tech Training Victoria (Vitech), having done much research on low-cost production of green hydrogen and battery cells. She was granted the L'Oreal - UNESCO awards of Viet Nam's Women in Science in 2019 and International Rising Talents in 2022.

DECENT WORK AND ECONOMIC GROWTH

Nguyen Thi Bao Hien

in 2003, she founded the Hien Le Commercial and Service Group in Hanoi in 2003. The group is currently striving in industrial waste processing, steel rolling, electronic parts production, and agricultural production for exports. The Group creates stable jobs for thousands of employees with policies for dedicated for women workers to promote gender equality in business.

INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE

Nguyen Tran Ngoc Linh

Director of Viettel Big Data Analytics Center, she is also an Ambassador of the Women in Data Science Worldwide Conference 2023. Combining machine learning models, her works have made recommendations in telecommunications and e-commerce advertisements resolving many challenges for Viettel in Vietnam and abroad.

Nguyen Thi Van

As a childe, she suffered from spinal muscular atrophy, but that did not stop her from persuing success. She is a co-founder of the Will to Live Center, which provides photo and video editing services for real estate and international e-commerce enterprises. The Center has trained pro bono more than 1,200 persons with disabilities.

SUSTAINABLE CITIES AND COMMUNITIES

Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy

An artist and the Director of the Tan Ha Noi Art company, she launched the "Ceramic Road" along the Red River, which was recognized by the Guinness World Records in 2010 as the longest ceramic painting in the world. She also created the 3.5 meters high and 40 meters long "French-Vietnamese Spring" street mural along the Seine river in Paris, France.

Trinh Thi Hong

As Director of the Minh Hong Biotech company, she works with women start-up groups to develop new products from the process of planting and production of citrus, limiting waste, and promoting circular economy. She is one among ten laureates of the Vietnam Women Award 2019 by the Vietnam Women's Union.

Lê Minh Thang

Senior Lecturer at the Chemical Technologv Institute, her research focuses on catalysts for processing emissions from fuel burning and catalysts for sustainable organic synthesis. She was awarded the Outstanding Innovation Award of the Hitachi Global Foundation in 2021 and the Kovalevskaia Award in 2022.

Tran Thi Phuong Thao Va Nguyen Thi

They work together at the Management Board of the Cu Lao Cham Marine Protected Area (MPA). They improved their work of monitoring the coral, seagrass, and seaweed ecosystems in the MPA, and, as a result, the MPA has successfully restored 10 hectares of damaged coral reefs and planted 20 hectares of new coral reefs.

Diep Thi My Hanh

A lecturer at the University of Science, she had a dream of turning her home village know as “Iron Triangle” into “Green Triangle”. In 1999 she founded the Bamboo Village of Phú An, a place to preserve and research on developing bamboo species genes, bringing Vietnamese bamboo species into the world bamboo catalog. Her initiative earned the UNDP Equatorial Prize 2010.

PEACE, JUSTICE AND STRONG INSTITUTIONS

Vu Nhat Huong

Captain Vu Nhat Huong works at the Viet Nam Department of Peacekeeping Operations. She served as Communication Officer at the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA). During this term, Captain Nhat Huong led many multimedia communication initiatives which were highly praised by the MINUSCA.

Nguyen Phuong Nga

As Permanent Representative of VietNam to the United Nations (2014-2018), Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga has made notable contributions to the negotiating process among UN member states to adopt the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals in 2015.
