SWISS HEIDI AI AT AI4GOOD & WSIS 2026

From 8–10 July 2026, the Swiss Association of Women & Empowerment participated in the WSIS Forum 2026 at Palexpo in Geneva, presenting its flagship initiative, Swiss Heidi AI, and contributing to the global conversation on the future of artificial intelligence, creativity and human-centered technology.

Throughout the three-day forum, SAWE welcomed visitors to its exhibition booth, “Swiss Heidi AI – Human Vision. AI Possibilities.” The exhibition offered participants an opportunity to discover the Swiss Heidi AI universe and explore how artificial intelligence can become a meaningful tool for communication, education, cultural exchange and creative expression.

At the heart of the Association’s participation was Swiss Heidi AI, a project that brings together technology, storytelling, culture and human creativity.

Through a family of certified AI characters — Heidi AI, Peter AI, Grandfather AI and Victoria AI — the project explores new ways for organizations and institutions to communicate their knowledge, expertise, culture and values through engaging digital experiences.

Our vision is based on a simple principle: AI should do more than answer questions. It should make knowledge more engaging, accessible and memorable.

As artificial intelligence develops at extraordinary speed, the Association believes that its greatest potential lies in strengthening — rather than replacing — human creativity. Technology can help preserve artistic and cultural identity, create new forms of storytelling, and make meaningful knowledge accessible to wider audiences.

On 10 July 2026, SAWE further developed this conversation through the session “Creative Intelligence: Art in the Age of AI.”

The session explored the evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and human creativity, asking an increasingly important question: How can we embrace the possibilities of AI while preserving the human vision, imagination and cultural identity that give creative work its meaning?

The discussion presented the Association’s approach to AI as a creative and communicative instrument — one that can support artists, cultural institutions, educators and organizations while keeping human ideas and values at the center of the creative process.

Swiss Heidi AI served as a concrete example of this approach, demonstrating how emerging technologies can be combined with character, storytelling and cultural heritage to create digital experiences that remain distinctly human.
