SAWE Meets with Ms. Jane Anyango in Geneva
On September 16th, 2024, the Swiss Association of Women and Empowerment (SAWE) had the honor of welcoming Ms. Jane, the Founder of the Polycom Girls Foundation, to our Geneva office.
A passionate advocate for women’s rights and empowerment, Ms. Anyango has long been a leading voice in promoting the well-being of girls and women in Kenya.
Ms. Anyango’s tireless efforts were highlighted when she became the face of SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) in Kenya at the exhibition “17 Faces of Action” which opened in Nairobi in February 2024. The exhibition, which highlighted women driving progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), showcased her inspiring work in fostering urban resilience and sustainable development in Kenya.
During her visit to Geneva, we were also pleased to meet with Dr. Nawal Tarazi – a board member of Female Wave of Change. The exchange opened avenues for future collaboration on shared goals related to women’s empowerment.
At SAWE, we are proud to bring to light stories of champions like Jane Anyango throgh the means of art.
